The Progres Palace, located at the corner of Knez Mihailova and Zmaj Jovina streets, represents one of the most recognizable modern architectural landmarks in the very pedestrian heart of Belgrade. Built at the end of the last century with a striking, modernist glass facade, this building rightfully holds the status of a cultural monument. In addition to commercial office space, it has for decades been an iconic gathering place for art lovers, thanks to the famous Progres Gallery located on its ground floor.<\/p>\n

As a facility positioned in the capital's busiest pedestrian zone, the Progres building faces an extreme and continuous fluctuation of visitors, tourists, and business professionals. Opening directly onto the street means that the interior spaces\u2014especially the art gallery with its sensitive exhibits and the luxury lobby\u2014are under constant onslaught from outdoor elements. The tracking in of water, street dirt, and fine sand on footwear not only compromises the aesthetics of this monumental edifice but also creates a risk of slipping on smooth floors and accelerates the wear and tear of the interior.<\/p>\n

Because of this, STILMAT was the only logical choice for outfitting and protecting the entrance zone of the Progres Palace.<\/p>\n
