We will be pleased if you contact us or pay attention to the following – the height of the mat that can be set, and according – the frame and the type of frame – built in or ramping.

We are always at your disposal in regard with the dimensions of the mat frame. Width of the mat frame should cover the width of the entrance, a length of frame  or direction of walking should be large enough to provide the necessary number of steps on the mat, which ensures optimum cleaning. The right choice of size will ensure its maximum functionality.

• When ordering Stilmat built in frame, you should submit the dimensions of the opening.
• When ordering Stilmat mats with ramped frame, submit the overall dimension (with frame).
• If there is any existing frame, submit only the internal dimensions of this frame. Check height or depth of that frame, that you can choose the right model of Stilmat mat.

Stilmat Mats are made extremely accurate, therefore the customer should not make any reduction or enlargement of the dimensions.

While designing doormats laying in heavy traffic places, it is necessary to plan its segmentation so that the traffic does not take place on doormat junctions. If it is impossible to manufacture doormats in one piece, e.g. due to big dimensions and weight, or due to complicated form, the design of segmentation should take into account below mentioned general rules. Segmentation of doormat is usually done by installing two or more frames of angle profiles, or one frame of angle profiles is divided by a tee bar. It is recommended to avoid apposing parts of doormats without dividing elements.

• Sliding doors – the conjunction should not be in the middle, because heavy traffic is on both sides of the entrance. Basic traffic should not take place on doormats junctions.
• Hinged doors – the junction should be located on both sides of the door, as usually heavy traffic takes place in the middle of the entrance. Basic traffic should not take place on doormats junctions.

Optimal adjusting/fitting. Make sure to prepare the opening for the frame – if it is a built-in type of the mat, it should be prepared according to the instructions for inbuilt frames ( this preparation is provided by the customer and our frame can be delivered before delivery of mats, during the construction of the floor). If it is a ramping Stilmat mat, please pay attention to which way the door is opening, so the mat doesn’t block the door. The surface should be flat and the depth tolerance is about 2 mm.

Special forms of Stilmat frames – you can send us your drawings or let us make templates according to your request. Note: if you choose to send us a template, roll it, please do not fold! The upper side of the template and walking direction must be accentuated! This information is very important for the manufacture of mats in accurate dimensions.

• Salt
• Snow melting agents
• Basic chemical agents which do not contain chlorine
• For permissible load of Stilmat frames(trolleys, wheelchairs, forklifts, cars)…, please check our technical data sheet for each model
• Proper functioning of Stilmat frames depends on its seating in the flat and even recess. Depth tolerance is around 2 mm. Bumpy floor under frames can result in permanent deformation of construction profiles.
